Overall Status
Your V3.0.0.6 installer installs the current "stable version"
of ]project-open[
V3.0. Please consult the "PO-Configuration-Guide" for
the configuration of a production server with security configuration,
backup, etc.

]project-open[
does not work on the non supported platforms because of an issues
with the PostgreSQL database.
Installation Instructions
- Please connect to the Internet or to a local network:
You will need to be connected to the Internet or to a local network
during the installation process.
Windows disables its network services completely if there is no
network connection.
- Please disable the local firewall of your computer:
Please disable the firewall of your computer (of your antivirus
software or Windows XP SP2 Firewall etc.) while installing ]po[.
We are going to install two components (AOLServer and PostgreSQL
database) that need to communicate with each other on port 5432
of your computer.
- Please uninstall "CygWin":
CygWin is a Unix environment
for Windows from RedHat.
The installer comes with its own version of CygWin which conflicts
with an existing installation.
- Please uninstall or disable "PostgreSQL":
The installer comes with its own version of PostgreSQL which may
conflict with an existing installation.
- Please uninstall CVSNT:
CVSNT is a CVS client for
Windows and comes as part of the free WinCVS
program.
- Please use the default values provided by the installer:
Please use the default values provided by the installer unless
you know what you are doing.
- Please only install on C:\:
This is a temporary restriction of the Windows Installer that
will fall in one of the later versions.
- HD Space needed
Depending on what your install options are you would need at
least 700 MB available disc space on C:\

Known Issues
There aren't any major issues issues with your current version.
Here are some of the remaining issues:
- Issues with the full text search engine (TSearch2):
The installation of the "intranet-search-pg" module
leads to difficulties with backup and restore of the PostgreSQL
database, so that the module has been taken out of the production
release. Please see the PO-Operations&Maintenance manual for
details.
