Version 3.0.beta3 Release Notes

Overall Status

Your V3.0.beta3 is suitable for testing the general functionality of ]project-open[. However, it should not be used in productive environments.

Supported Platforms

Supported:

• Windows 2000 (professional & server)

Not supported:

• Windows ME,
• Windows 98,
• Windows XP
• Windows 2003

]project-open[ doesn't work on these platforms because of an issues with PostgreSQL. Please install Windows 2000 on your computer or wait until a newer version has been released that fixes the issue.

We can inform you about new versions if you leave us your email address using the "Register" form at the right hand side.

Known Issues

There are several know issues with your current version.

• Doesn't install on Windows XP and Windows 2003
• The filestorage module doesn't work because of an error during the installation (patching acs-tcl/tcl/windows-procs.tcl)
• Locales and Timezones setting of a user modify the global system behaviour
• The forward/backward buttons ("<<" and ">>") of the UserListPage don't work
• The included documentation (C:\ProjectOpen\doc\*.pdf) has draft status and is incomplete.
• ... (probably many issues not yet detectec)

If you should encounter any difficulties please post a message with information where you got stuck. Also, you can post a message if everything went smooth... Please include a detailed description with your operating system version, the ]project-open[ version and any other details that you can get hold of.

Also, there is a "Diagnosing Errors" page available that covers frequent cases.

The first thing you should do right now is to post a message in the ]project-open[discussion forum saying that you installed the system successfully (or specify the issues that you had). This is your ticket for future support ... :-)
